[부고] 사이드 카바 (Саид Каба) 1985-2022

여기서는 다만 몇 마디만 덧붙이고자 한다. 먼저 그의 사망 경위를 의심하지 않을 수 없다. 사이드는 다년간 사회주의 운동가였고, 조직에서 주도적인 역할을 한 기간도 있었다. 그와 그의 동지들은 푸틴의 반동 전쟁에 대해 강력한 반제국주의 입장을 취해왔다. 잘 알려진 대로 푸틴의 “부분 동원령”은 러시아 사회 전체에 충격파를 던졌고 푸틴 정권의 우크라이나 침략전쟁에 대한 대중의 불만도 커지고 있다. 이런 때 반전·반제국주의 입장으로 널리 알려져 있는 조직의 회원인 사회주의자를 살해하는 데 어둠의 세력이 개입했을 가능성을 배제하는 것은 어리석은 일일 것이다.
이 슬픈 시간, 우리는 사이드 카바와 사회주의 대안(CA) 동지들이 러시아의 제국주의 전쟁에 맞서 용기 있는 입장을 취해왔음을 지적하고 싶다. RCIT와 사회주의 동맹 (RCIT 러시아 지부) 만큼이나 사회주의 대안 동지들도 푸틴 침공의 반동적 성격과 함께 “우크라이나 민족해방 전쟁의 정의전 성격”을 인정했다. 레닌주의 전통에 충실하게, 그들은 "러시아 제국주의의 패배는 푸틴 정권을 약화 실추시키고 혁명적 전망을 열어줄 것이라는 점에서 우리는 공공연하게 우크라이나의 편을 든다"고 밝혔다. 우리처럼, 그들도 우크라이나가 가능한 모든 곳에서 무기를 얻을 수 있는 권리를 옹호했고, 국제 노동자운동에 우크라이나가 러시아의 침략을 패퇴시키는 데 필요한 무기를 확보할 수 있도록 연대해줄 것을 촉구했다. "우크라이나 노동자계급은 러시아군에 대항하는 데서 비무장 상태여서는 안 된다. 반대로 승리에 필요한 원조 일체를 무상으로 공급할 것을 공공연하게 제창하는 것이 필요하다. 유럽과 미국의 노동자 조직은 공급품의 이동을 추적하고 우크라이나에 정확히 도착하도록 노동자 통제를 실행하는 것이 필요하다."
RCIT와 사회주의 동맹이 이러한 일관된 국제주의·반제국주의 입장을 더더욱 환영하는 이유는 주가노프의 러연방공산당 (및 그 밖의 소규모 러시아 스탈린주의 당들)과 같은 루스키 미르 사회배외주의 전쟁몰이꾼들과 훌륭한 대조를 이루기 때문이다. 러시아 제국주의의 침략에 맞서 우크라이나를 방어하길 거부하고 심지어는 한 달 전 모스크바 지방선거에서 러연방공산당을 지지하고 나아가 이 당의 후보들로 출마한 앨런 우즈의 IMT (국제맑스주의동맹) 같은 사이비 트로츠키주의자들에 대해서도 같은 말을 할 수 있다.
사이드 동지의 사회주의 대안 (러시아)은 비타협적인 국제주의·반제국주의 입장을 통해 그들의 국제 조직인 국제사회주의대안(ISA)보다 위에, 훨씬 위에 우뚝 섰다. 다른 많은 중도주의자들과 마찬가지로 ISA는 2월 24일 이래 푸틴의 침략에 맞선 우크라이나 인민의 저항에 어떠한 지지도 주길 거절하고 있다. 심지어 그들은 국제 노동자운동에 우크라이나로 가는 무기 전달을 막으라고 촉구하기까지 하고 있다![4] 사회주의 대안 동지들이 이 경험에서 올바른 결론을 이끌어내기를 바란다.
사이드 카바 동지는 더 이상 우리와 함께 있지 않다. 그러나 사회주의를 위한 투쟁에서 그가 보여준 헌신과 러시아 제국주의에 반대하며 우크라이나 인민의 해방투쟁을 위해 그가 쏟은 분투는 우리의 기억 속에 계속 살아 있을 것이다! 그의 동반자와 친지들, 그리고 그의 동지들에게 깊은 애도를 전한다.

This is a great shock and an unspeakable loss for us.
We want to tell you how we will remember Said, a friend and comrade-in-arms.
He had a very lively spirit and a scientific, materialistic view of the world. This is not surprising: Said was a scientist and an expert in new technologies in the medical field. In his free time, he devoted himself to his partner, politics and building a revolutionary organization.
From an early age he was confronted with racism and homophobia. It was this, he says, that led him to socialist conclusions.
Said first became involved with our organization during the Bolotnaya protests in 2011-12. However, he decided to become a member only four years later.
It wasn't the best time to go into politics. The society was still affected by the nationalist wave of the Crimean annexation. Demoralization and apathy reigned among opponents of Putin's regime, but Said immediately engaged in political and organizational work
For more than five years, Said played an active role in the organization. He was very responsible. But his discipline was not boring perfectionism, but an energetic force that enthusiastically spurred everyone present to complete even routine tasks.
He gave lectures with a scientific approach at meetings and party schools, took part in discussions about the current situation as well as in producing propaganda material.
Said always had an open ear for the arguments of others and was careful in every discussion. Despite his extensive activities, he was the secretary of the entire organization for a period and organized the work of the Executive Committee. Said was involved in many street actions. It's hard to remember everything!
Said worked intensively on articles and notes published by the SA. He translated and edited texts and "moderated" the topic of ecology and climate change on our website. It is difficult to count how many articles have been published under his name or with his support.
